12:10 p.m.: uninsured man who pretended to be father after car wreck surrenders

SAN BERNARDINO - An uninsured 20-year-old man who pretended to be his male parent after a car accident last year turned himself in Th, authorities said.

Jaime Salazar of San Bernardino surrendered to San Bernardino County territory Attorney business office investigators after acquisition there was a felony warrant for his apprehension.

He has been charged with auto insurance fraud for the Aug. 14 hit in Fontana.

Salazar was in a minor hit and pretended to be his male parent when he reported the wreck to AAA so the company would pay for harm, authoroties said.

Salazar was booked at telephone exchange Detention centre. Bail was set at $50,000.
